Plot - It's a story which is told entirely through two different songs one from the beginning of love affair to the end of the marriage and another from the end of the marriage to the beginning of the love affair. Both the songs meet in that center where Jamie proposes Cathy.
The last 5 year is a musical deconstruction of a love affair and marriage taking place over a five year period. This is a story which is told through a song, a young talented and Jewish novelist Jamie Wellerstein who falls in love with a Shiksa Goddess struggling actress Cathy Hiatt. Cathy’s song starts from their marriage and moved toward the beginning of their love affair, on the other hand Jamie’s songs begins from their affair and move to the end of their marriage. The songs meet at the center where Jamie purpose Cathy.
