Therese Belivet a young department-store clerk meet Carol  a beautiful older woman who stuck in a depressing marriage of convenience. As their bond get stronger and deeper both of them involved romantically and Carol finds the strength to leave her husband.  When her spouse  realizes that relationship of her with Abby  and Therese  are more then just a friend he start raising questions.
