Plot - A mermaid princess makes a Faustian deal with a corrupt ocean witch keeping in mind the end goal to meet a human prince ashore.
Disney’s The Little Mermaid was the first in a progression of blockbusters that reestablished the venerable firm’s reputation as the world’s premiere animated-feature factory. The story is about a 16-year-old mermaid Ariel who is captivated with life on the land. On one of her visits to the surface, which are taboo by her controlling father, King Triton, she falls for a human ruler. Resolved to be with her new love, Ariel makes a hazardous deal with the ocean witch Ursula to end up human for three days. But when plans go awry for the star-crossed lovers, the king must make the ultimate sacrifice for his daughter.
