Plot - The story is about the affair of southern belle with blockade runner during the American War.
The story is all about a spoiled Southern girl’s hopeless love for a married man. Scarlett learns that Ashley Wilkes is to be married with his cousin Melanie Hamilton. And Scarlett loves Ashley Wilkes secretly. The engagement is to be announced at Ashley’s home the next day. Mammy faithful servant of Scarlett warns her to behave herself at the party at Twelve Oaks. Scarlett secretly declares her feelings to Ashley, and want to choose her instead of Melanie but he reject her by saying that he and Melanie are more compatible. There is a new man named Rhett Butler that day who overheard their conversation, the day Civil War begins.
